New to Paayed? Here's what you need to know before getting started.
Paayed is a financial operating system built for UK businesses that need to accept payments, send invoices, reconcile accounts, and manage their team — all from one platform. Whether you run a retail shop using an EPOS terminal, an online store processing card payments, or a services business sending recurring invoices, Paayed brings your payments, accounting, and operations into a single dashboard. We’re particularly popular with SMEs that want to stop juggling separate tools for their gateway, invoicing, and bookkeeping.
Most businesses are live within 24–48 hours. The onboarding process involves completing KYC verification (we’ll need your company registration details, a valid ID, and your bank account information for settlements), connecting your bank account, and choosing your payment channels — whether that’s an A920 card terminal, online gateway, payment links, or all three. Our onboarding team guides you through each step, and your dedicated account manager stays with you beyond go-live.
Paayed supports Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and open banking payments. You can accept these in-person via our Paayed A920 or A35 card terminals, online through our payment gateway, or remotely using payment links sent by email or SMS. For businesses with existing EPOS systems, we integrate directly so your terminal and till stay in sync without manual reconciliation.
Settlements are deposited directly into your linked bank account. Standard settlement is next business day (T+1), meaning funds from Monday’s transactions land in your account on Tuesday. You can track every settlement in real time from the Paayed dashboard — each one is broken down by transaction so you can reconcile automatically against your invoices and sales records. There are no hidden holdbacks or reserve requirements for standard accounts.
Yes. Paayed integrates with major EPOS providers so your card terminal communicates directly with your point-of-sale system. This means sale amounts pass automatically to the terminal (no double-keying), and transaction data flows back for reconciliation. If you’re using a standalone till, our A920 terminal works independently with its own merchant-facing display. Either way, every transaction appears in your Paayed dashboard for unified reporting across all channels.
Paayed connects with Xero and QuickBooks, syncing your transactions, invoices, and settlements automatically. This means your chart of accounts stays up to date without manual data entry. Paayed also has built-in accounting tools — bank reconciliation, VAT tracking, petty cash management, and financial reporting — so smaller businesses can handle everything inside the platform without a separate accounting package.
Paayed offers flexible terms. There’s no long-term lock-in — you can cancel with 30 days’ notice. We believe you should stay because the product works for you, not because of a contract clause. During your first 30 days, your account manager will check in to make sure everything is running smoothly and help you get the most out of the platform.
