Everything you need to set up and start using Paayed.
Paayed is a financial operations platform built for UK businesses. Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Paayed combines payment processing, invoicing, accounting, and team management into a single dashboard.
Instead of juggling separate tools for taking payments, sending invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing your team, Paayed brings everything together. Whether you’re a sole trader accepting your first card payment or a growing business processing thousands of transactions, the platform scales with you.
Your Paayed dashboard is accessible at uk.paayed.com from any device with a browser. No app download required.
Setting up your Paayed account takes about 5 minutes.
Go to uk.paayed.com/register and click “Create Account.”
You’ll need your registered business name, company number (if applicable), trading address, and business type.
Provide your full legal name, date of birth, residential address, and a valid email address and mobile number.
Choose a strong password and enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
Most accounts are verified within 24–48 hours. You’ll receive an email confirmation once approved.
Know Your Customer (KYC) verification is a regulatory requirement for all UK payment providers.
Identity: Valid passport or UK driving licence, plus a selfie holding your ID.
Address: Utility bill, bank statement, or council tax bill (within 3 months).
Company (limited only): Certificate of incorporation and proof of registered office.
Timeline: Most verifications complete within 24–48 hours. Complex cases may take up to 5 business days.
Rejected documents? You’ll receive an email explaining why. Re-upload from Settings → Verification.
To receive settlements, connect a UK bank account:
Important: The account must be UK (GBP only), name must match your business, and Paayed uses it for settlements only: we never debit without authorisation.
Three ways to get paid:
1. Online: Payment Gateway: Hosted checkout, API, or payment links.
2. In-person: POS Terminal: Enter the amount on your A920, customer taps/inserts/swipes.
3. Invoice payments: Send an invoice with a “Pay Now” link.
Settlement: All payments settle T+1: funds deposited by next business day. Reports in Transactions → Settlements.
We recommend a small test transaction (even £0.30) before going live.
Three integration options:
Hosted Checkout (no code): Paayed hosts a secure payment page. Generate a link, share with customers.
API Integration: Integrate directly via REST API. Docs at developers.paayed.com. Keys from Settings → API Keys.
Payment Links: One-time or reusable links. Fixed or open amount. Share via email, SMS, WhatsApp.
Sandbox testing: Toggle sandbox in Settings → API Keys and use test card numbers.
Supported: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
The Paayed A920 accepts contactless, chip & PIN, and mobile wallet payments.
Taking payment: Tap “Sale” → enter amount → customer taps/inserts/swipes → receipt prints automatically.
Connectivity: Wi-Fi or 4G. For mobile use, ensure data connection or portable hotspot.
Connection issues? Restart terminal and check Wi-Fi. Contact support@paayed.com if it persists.
